Reflections on life in Buenos Aires

Standard

Buenos Aires is very hot but it is a great city to spend some time in. So far we have:

Started Spanish classes: 4 hours per day starting at 9am is like being at work again – at least only for a week or two.
Rented an apartment for a week: cheaper than a hotel and gives us much more space and a lovely veranda (see picture below)
Caught someone trying to pick pocket me on the train: okay I didn’t heroically expose him and I am not so stupid to have valuables in my pockets but it was quite exciting. It was the old coat over the arm trick and very poorly executed.

Tonight we are having our first tango lesson thanks to Mark, Jo, Jon, Anna, Em and of course Frank – thanks guys. Unfortunately due to small bags I have no dancing shoes so bare foot or flip flops might be the order of the day. I will report back later and let you know how it went. Chris.
